ZIRCONIUM COATINGS

ZIRCONIUM COATINGS

Zirconium Coatings
It is the light transmittance that provides the teeth with their natural appearance. Metal - Ceramic crowns cause light refraction due to the metal in the substructure and the teeth appear dull. Since the light transmission feature of zirconium crowns is close to natural teeth, the appearance of the teeth moves away from artificiality.

Metal-supported porcelains can create a dark line on the gums over time.

Zirconium Tooth maintains its integrity with the gums for many years and creates a more natural appearance.

Zirconium crowns are preferred because they combine aesthetics and durability in recent years. Zirconium crowns have many advantages over Metal-Ceramic crowns:

Zirconium gives a natural appearance thanks to its light transmittance especially in the anterior teeth that require aesthetics. No matter how well metal-ceramic crowns are made, it can be difficult to achieve a full aesthetic result.
Mechanical cementation is performed on metal-ceramic crowns. Mechanical and chemical adhesives called dual cement are used in zirconium crowns. In this method, which increases the retention, there are no bad surprises such as falling and breaking of the tooth.
Nickel used in metal-ceramic porcelains may cause allergic reactions in some patients. The materials used in zirconium are completely compatible with intraoral tissues.
The dark line on the tooth-gingival border, which can be seen on metal-ceramic porcelains, is not seen on Zirconium crowns.
In cases of gingival recession, metal-ceramic crowns create a bad appearance, while zirconium crowns do not have such a risk.
The treatment time is very short with the cad-cam system. If the patient does not have gums or teeth that require root canal treatment, it can be applied on the same day.
