Porcelain Fillings

Porcelain Fillings

Porcelain Fillings
The porcelain filling method is based on the bonding of this filling material to replace the minerals lost in the tooth by a method called bonding, and thus the replacement of the lost material due to caries or abrasion, so-called porcelain inlays or onlays. For this, a computer technique called Cad-Cam is used in dentistry.

They are very strong and durable fillings made as porcelain inlays or onlays that protect the solid part of the tooth. This application is applied to treat the loss of substance in the teeth such as caries, deformation in the teeth, after canal treatment and trauma, and it is applied only without damaging the general structure of the tooth.

Inlay-onlay porcelain filling applications, which shorten the sitting time in the patient chair, have much more advantages in terms of both durability and aesthetics.

During the application, the decay of the teeth is cleaned and then two methods can be preferred.

The 1st method is to prepare the filling with porcelain-containing blocks in the direct scraping unit, which is taken directly from the mouth with a digital camera. It is glued to the tooth with special adhesive materials.

Method 2: The model prepared with digital reading over the measurement taken with a special impression material from the patient's mouth is taken out of the porcelain blocks as filling in the scraping unit and is pasted with special adhesive materials.

Porcelain filling method gives successful results in cases that have suffered significant losses or decay goes down to the gums. Again, since the teeth prepared in the laboratory are polished with a special polish, they have a very bright and beautiful appearance.

Porcelain Laminated?
Porcelain laminates are sheet ceramics applied to the tooth surface without any abrasion in some cases, with only the etching of the enamel layer on the tooth surface. These laminas, which are fixed to the teeth with a specially produced adhesive, provide both therapeutic and aesthetic results. These materials, which are sensitive to all kinds of breakage before they are bonded, gain an excellent strength and durability after they are bonded to the tooth.

It is a method that provides aesthetic correction in a very short time
Can be done with minimum correction while preserving tooth tissue
It looks natural because its light transmittance is very close to dental tissue.
No coloration in the long term
Durability and resistance to pressure are among the most important reasons for preference.
On the models prepared before the procedure, the patient can see how the result will be before the procedure with the personal muck up to be applied to the mouth.
